Join us for an engaging panel discussion of the transition from medical to recreational marijuana in California and its impacts on commercial real estate. Panelists provide insight into the production of cannabis products, the challenge of local retail, and legal implications of ever-changing municipal regulations.

Dennis Hunter has spent a career in the cannabis industry, relentlessly advocating for patients’ rights, and legislative change. He has started several successful businesses, most recently co-founding CannaCraft, one of California’s largest cannabis companies, which includes major brands Care By Design, Absolute Xtracts, and Satori.

Sara Payan is the vice-chair of the San Francisco Cannabis State Legalization Task Force, a nationally-published writer, consultant, award-winning cannabis educator and the Director of Education at the Apothecarium. The Apothecarium has successfully grown its presence in San Francisco over the last several years by focusing on high quality service and community ties, and Sara’s work is integral to the Apothecarium’s mission.

Pam Epstein is an attorney with a diverse background in municipal and environmental law and is founder of Green Wise Consulting in Los Angeles. Pam travels throughout California consulting on land use, permitting and licensing issues related to cannabis. She has been busy helping businesses transition as the cannabis industry and related regulations have shifted, and she will provide her insight about the regulatory changes underway and on the horizon.
