CREW SF Member Spotlight
I have worked in the commercial property management industry for more than 20 years, and I have spent the majority of my career at Cushman & Wakefield. For the last four years, I have been employed with Cushman & Wakefield in San Francisco as a Senior Assistant Property Manager, managing with my team at Salesforce West, a 43-story high-rise owned by Salesforce. Effective April 1st, our team will also be taking over management of Salesforce East, which is 100 percent occupied by Salesforce and owned by Kilroy Realty. I enjoy working with the tenants and vendors, as well as such a forward-thinking and dynamic high-tech owner in Salesforce. We have the most lively office lobby in the financial district, with a media wall with changing graphics, an abundance of live trees and plants, music playing in the lobby and a live DJ on Mondays.
CREW SF Background:
I have been a member of CREW SF for three years. After I became a member, I participated in various committee meetings and chose to join the Communications Committee. I took on the role of Brand Manager, which involves reviewing, proofreading and editing the text for the events that get posted on the weekly email blasts and website. Last year, I was a part of a team led by Kristy Dutch that worked on populating the content for the new website - a huge undertaking. This year, I volunteered to solicit biographies from individuals selected by the Board for our new Member Spotlight section, for inclusion in the website and social media.
In early 2018, I was asked to be the Communications liaison for the Community Affairs Committee – a position I gladly accepted. I appreciate the value of a liaison to share information between two committees so that they can effectively work together.
It’s been such a rewarding experience to be surrounded by so many bright and successful, yet humble and down-to-earth women.
What has been the highlight during your membership with CREW SF?
The highlight of my time at CREW SF so far was attending the last two national conventions in Houston (2017) and San Diego (2018). It was great getting to know the attendees from the CREW SF chapter, as well as meeting women from other chapters all over the country. The educational sessions were interesting and informative, with excellent keynote speakers – Geena Davis in Houston and Robin Roberts in San Diego. Last, but not least, it was such a treat to be able to tour the host cities. I look forward to attending this year’s convention in Orlando in September.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Since I love to shop, you can often find me during lunchtime at Embarcadero Center at either The Gap, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor Loft. I frequently rotate between the stores to take advantage of the 40-percent-off sales. When I’m home, I like to read (psychological thrillers are my current favorite genre) and watch movies at the theater and on Netflix. My goal is to travel more in the coming years. I just started traveling internationally a few years ago, with a trip to Italy (Venice, Florence and Rome) in 2016, followed by a trip to Barcelona, Spain and Lisbon, Portugal in 2017. I am excited about this year’s trip to Greece in September.
