Lead the Way is a weekend conference for high school age Girl Scouts that is planned and implemented by a girl committee. Theme this year is “intersectional feminism”. Approximately 100-200 girls attend Lead the Way. Each Girl Scout attendee participates in 3 grade-level track workshops and 5 elective workshops over the weekend, as well as a celebratory dinner and keynote speaker on Saturday. Some confirmed workshop topics are “Mental Health Check-In”, “Racism Awareness”, “Adulting 101”, and “Applying Leadership”.
Girl Scouts is seeking volunteers who love working with youth, and who also reflect their identities, including women, gender-expansive folks, and BIPOC.
