Director of Research & Development, AWA - based in the UK
Karen has worked with AWA for 22 years as a change management consultant working with a wide variety of clients. She supports AWA’s Advanced Workplace Institute – a peer to peer membership network which helps people responsible for delivering the workplace to discover and embrace different approaches. Part of the AWI’s remit is to be constantly curious in search of practical ideas based as far as possible on workplace science.
Karen has led research into ‘Knowledge Worker Productivity’ (can this be measured?), ‘Cognitive Performance’ (what we can do to help our brains to function at their best every day) and ‘Managing the Agile Workforce’ (how working virtually affects our team relationships). The latest research – conducted in partnership with the Centre for Evidence Based Management (cebma.org) - presents a holistic model that shows how different aspects that support team performance come together to support a core set of vital factors.
